Sun God
Sun was in the forcast so we lined up a crew to hit the mighty Sun God. Ski Legend Johnny F.Chris A. Sam C.Billy and I were all keen to go.

The start of the 3 hour climb up the back.

Snack break.

The final push to the summit.

We had to set up a rappel to get down to the enterence.

The sun came out on the last scramble to the top.

Johnny F goes first.

Billy was up next.

Witch wall should i slash?

Sam
After this turn a Sam got taken out by a Avalanche. We watched in horror from the bottom as we saw same getting taken down. Here is Sams version of the story.
After agonizing over a dry, grey stretch, we were all drooling at the clearing trend and the hint of sun in the forecast. Especially since the avi scale said "low" and how well preserved it was up there.
So out we went,
Rad friends and a rad peak were assembled to make for a rad day. Even the weather delivered a solid late day window with alpenglow and all.
Couldn't help but feel bitter though, went I ripped off a chunk that sent me rag dolling 1200 feet down the face, the one that looked so sweet seconds before.
Not feeling happy anymore, I went trough an assortment of other feelings. Regret, nostalgia perhaps yes, but apprehension and curiosity as well.
Those thoughts I will never forget.
Not that I'll remember this as a bad day, but as a day that I was happy to see my friends again.
Thanks guys!

In this photo you can see where the fracture is that took Sam down.

This picture shows how far Sam traveled in the slide. Sam is in the circle at the bottom.

Sam still smiling after it all went down. Sam ended up losing a ski and had to ski the rest of the way down on one ski.
Sam went to the doctor the next day because his knee was bugging him. He ended up compressing his tibia during the slide down. This will give Sam some time to catch up on some good books and get ready for his next big adventure.
